Party line
• IN his Forum (September 18) Gerry Harrison made excellent observations on the role and motivations of local councillors.
The Green Party received more support in the GLA elections from Camden voters than the Lib Dems and had a stunning by-election win in Highgate on the same day. The growth in support for the Green Party is being achieved through the hard work, community activism, integrity and sensible polices.
It is worth pointing out that the councillors in other parties are expected to follow the party line. We do not operate a dictatorial “whipping” system in the Green Party.
