Harriers stars do all Wight

HIGHGATE Harriers women’s team returned to action at the weekend when they lined up in the Isle of Wight fell race series.
The testing two-day event saw the athletes take part in a three-mile and a seven-mile race on Saturday, followed by a gruelling 13-mile event on Sunday.
Among the star performers was Kate Jenrick, who finished in third place overall after finishing second in both the three and seven-mile races, and fifth in the 13-mile event.
Team-mate Natasha Cendrowicz also ran all three races, finishing in ninth place overall.
Returning to form, Astrid Wingler won her three-mile event, but failed to return for the seven-mile contest after suffering from severe cramp.
Wingler recovered in time to finish third in Sunday’s competition.
