Wolves get their teeth into season
ISLEDON Wolves kicked off the new season in the Camden and Islington Youth League in style on Friday at Market Road. In one of only two opening day matches, the Under-10s side looked hungry for success as they stormed past Lyndhurst.
Elizer Kafuti won and scored a penalty to break the deadlock, before Mark Ikua doubled the advantage.
Player-of-the-match Becan Donald added a third when he scored an early contender for goal of the season.
Jason Rice also added his name to the score-sheet as Wolves ran out convincing 4-0 winners.
Despite the efforts of Tommy Smith and Remi Adenaike, Isledon missed out on a day of double celebrations when they lost 1-0 to Lyndhurst in the Under-11s league.
The league returns to full action on Friday with 17 fixtures scheduled to be held at the artificial pitches.
