Tufnell Rangers’ sweet cup victory over south londoners
TUFNELL Park Rangers continued their unbeaten run on Sunday when they beat Mason FC in the London Cup. Tufnell, who are sponsored by the Pineapple Pub in Kentish Town, extended a winning streak that kicked off back in January when they clinched a thrilling
3-2 win in extra-time.
Goals from skipper Vaughn Dagnell and Andy Goodwin saw Tufnell battle out a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes. With the game heading for penalties, star striker Nathan Reid unleashed a thunderous right-foot shot into the top corner.
After the game captain Josh Yudkin said: “Victory is always sweet, but beating South Londoners on their home soil is even sweeter!”
