Police seize ‘fake’ goods from club
THOUSANDS of items of designer goods – believed to be fake – have been seized after trading standards officers and police launched an 8am raid on a Camden Town karaoke club. Police and Camden’s counterfeit team searched the Fake Club in Hartland Road on Tuesday, recovering thousands of bags, clothing and jewellery.
The building was empty and no arrests were made, although a police spokesman said investigations were “at an early stage and enquiries continue”.
When the New Journal visited the premises yesterday (Wednesday) the front door was boarded up. Telephone calls made last night to a number posted on a billboard outside went unanswered.
