Cumberland’s three straight wins

PLAYERS from Cumberland Netball Club continued their unbeaten start to the season in the South-East Regional League on Saturday when they beat Minchenden in their third outing.
Under the guidance of key players Hannah Gale and Laura Paulin (pictured right), Cumberland led from the onset as they finished the first quarter 11 goals ahead.
Excellent mid-court defence throughout the match saw the team extend their lead each quarter, going on to clinch a resounding 59-26 goal victory thanks to some sharp
shooting from Krista Priscott and Kirsty Smith.
In their previous match, star player Andy Johnson led Cumberland to their biggest win to date with a 67-25 points victory over Hillcrest.
There was more good news for the Cumberland players when they were invited to take part in a pre-season training match against Super League side Brunel Hurricanes.
