Shooting stars beat Comets
CHAMPIONSHIP-chasing Cumberland hit another big win on Saturday when they beat rivals Comets in the POLY League at the Camden Sports Pitch.
The home team got off to a strong start, controlling the play in the mid-court and creating good attacking options. With pinpoint accuracy from both shooters Cumberland pushed ahead by 15 goals at half-time.
Led by star player Bridget McKenzie, Cumberland dominated the second-half of the match to seal a resounding 62-30 points victory.
Cumberland return to action this weekend when they take on Gems away in the South-East Regional League.
The Camden and Islington squad go into the game with a three point lead over their Kent opponents, and boasting a plus 54 goal difference.
