Over at Downing Street: Cricket aces meet Prime Minister after summer glory
JUBILANT juniors from North Middlesex Cricket Club recruited a new fan on Monday when Prime Minister Gordon Brown invited them to No10 Downing Street.
The under-13s side were honoured for their summer achievements, which saw them win the Spirit of Cricket National Club Championship.
Mr Brown was very impressed with the batting performances of Connor Nurse and Zulfiqar Azom, who both scored more than 400 runs each during the competition.
The team was given a tour of Downing Street and the cabinet room, before being given refreshments in one of the state rooms.
