Town fail to put brakes on slump
Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division
Oxhey Jets 4, Kentish Town 3
TOWN slumped to their third successive defeat on Saturday in a seven-goal thriller at Oxhey Jets.
Town were forced to start the game with only 10 men after four players were left stranded when their car broke down.
The Jets took full advantage of their extra player, and edged in front through Wayne Gladdy.
Town returned to full strength after 15 minutes when their remaining players arrived, but went in at the break 1-0 down.
Within minutes of the restart they pulled the scores level through Daniele Quattromini.
The Jets restored their lead through Paul Turner, only for Town to hit back and take a 3-2 lead thanks to a Paul Butler penalty and a stunning goal from Karim Essiaghi.
But Jets stole all three points late on with goals from Lee Grace and Jamie Arthur.
