Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 13 November 2008

Royal Mail employees’ top quality service

• A NASTY rainy Sunday. So what better than to report two good things about Royal Mail, when we only ever seem to hear unpleasant happenings?
First, near the end of our road on my way shopping, a voice calling my name…
It was our postman, saying he had a package which was too large for our letterbox.
“It is free to pensioners [electric light bulbs]”.
I said “Thank you, just leave them in the porch.”
No 2, leaving home for the launderette, at 7.45am, about five minutes’ walk from home, the parcel postman walked into the launderette with two parcels for me.
He said: “I didn’t like to leave them on the porch, so knew you would not be far away.”
How did he know?
Anyway, two good deeds by two much appreciated Royal Mail employees.
Long may they serve our road.
I Kemp
