Gallas passion shows that we right to give Cashley the boot

WILLIAM Gallas might be a big fat wallyhead for publicly attacking his Arsenal teammates – but in the end I wouldn’t ever swap him back for Ashley Cole, the greediest greedster in the whole of county greedland; that prospective MP for Greedytown South; the Lord Mayor of Greedborough.
In a deft swap deal, Wenger managed to offload the underpaid grump and haul in a man who just gets a little too passionate about his football.
Off went Cole, swerving down the King’s Road, to Chelsea, where, let us not forget, he has yet to win a Premiership title or a Champions League.
And in came Gallas, a hero for the simple fact he threatened to score own goals if he was made to pull on a Chelsea shirt again.
Yes, he’s been a moron, walking off in a strop against Birmingham City last year. But at least it showed he cared.
Besides, his record in terms of walking off in a strop is much better than the fans at the Emirates, who skulk off 10 minutes from the end.
And to be honest, if I played alongside Adebayor and Bendtner, missing as many chances as they have this season, I’d be getting a little frustrated.
If Arsenal are ever to challenge again, they need to use the passion Gallas has. He shouldn’t be captain – but they need to keep him.

ARSENAL under Arsene Wenger is beginning to resemble Michael Jackson. There was a time when both Wenger and Jackson had made a few little tweaks and they were successful, but then they got carried away tweaking and all that’s left is an unsuccessful mess.
This week, Wenger bizarrely dismissed the importance of captaincy and leadership, (I guess it explains why he picked Gallas in the first place) while simultaneously handing the great “honour” to Cesc Fabregas in the hope it will encourage him to stay.
That’s just insulting his intelligence.
If Fabregas can’t tell that he was picked because there was no one else, he probably is stupid enough to be tied down by the apparent prestige of his pointless new role.
The week was really all about William Gallas, and we discovered that Wenger’s most experienced player is actually a six-year-old boy in a disguise. What a great captain he made though, at times silent and lost in thought but predominantly just pouting in disgust at his own players or perhaps his barber. He will be missed.
And a small thanks to Robin van Persie, not only for hiding Wenger’s motivational bullet points last weekend but also for insulting everyone at Arsenal. Good job. Keep it up.
