Cormac and Shane Farrell
Hot-shot brothers tame the Tigers
BROTHERS Cormac and Shane Farrell both scored as Hampstead Eagles edged a 2-1 win over club rivals Hampstead Tigers on Saturday in the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League.
Defender Cormac opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time with a spectacular long-range shot. Not to be outdone, younger brother Shane doubled the advantage with a neat finish midway through the second-half. The Tigers pulled a goal back, but an outstanding display by keeper Louis Penna ensured the Eagles held on to win the under-8s clash.
In the Under-9s League, Ely Chegrinac and Madit Chauncy scored two goals apiece to help lead Queen’s Park Sharks to a convincing win over Valance.
Cassian Lewis, Dylan Hickman Singh and Ellis Rosenberg were also all on target as the Sharks ran out 7-0 winners.
The Sharks also picked up the points against Soccerscool in the Under-10s League after coming from a goal down. Soccerscool took the lead through Theo Gillard, but the Sharks hit back to seal a 2-1 win thanks to a double strike from Noah Laignel.
The result leaves the Sharks two points clear at the top of the table having taken nine points from their opening four games.
