Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 11 December 2008
Wheel of misfortune
• THE other day I read in a local political party newsletter that crime in Hemstal Road is three times higher than in other West Hampstead streets. On Monday night December 2 a thief stole the rear wheel off my 20-year-old car, parked in Hilltop Road outside the St James Mansions corner with Hemstal Road.
The people who do this type of thing in the middle of a road are in need of more than a wheel for their old car. They need to get a life. As for the type of society we live in I assume that local residents simply shut their curtains and passers-by ignore all goings on.
Just in case you saw this person with half a brain replace a wheel on their old Mercedes please email: soundsgood@hotmail.co.uk R GRIMM
