Top form: Bogac Ayhan took the butterfly gold
Bogac dips under minute mark
MEMBERS of Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club ended their year on a high on Saturday when they finished third in their latest outing in the National Swimming League. Competing against some of the best clubs in the London region, the Camden contingent were in outstanding form as they battled for a place on the podium.
Speedster Bogac Ayhan put in one of the most inspiring swims of the afternoon when he won gold in the 100m butterfly with a sub-minute time of 59.98.
There was double delight in the girls’ 100m fly, with Reut Benaim taking gold in the 13 and under age-group and Devon Robins winning her 15 and under event.
Felix Samuels continued his golden form in the 100m freestyle with a winning time of 53.76, while Robin Neumann won the 50m backstroke in the nine to 11-years age category.
Another highlight saw the boys’ 13 and under relay team of Alex Burgess, Alex Peake, William Rittenhouse and Scott Broadis capture gold in their medley race.
