Sir Robert peel away
DIVISION One leaders Sir Robert Peel got their 2009 campaign in the Chalk Farm Pool League off to a flying start on Monday with an 8-1 win over Boston Potters. The result leaves Peel 13 points clear at the top of the table with nine wins from their opening 11 games.
Boston Arms edged out club rivals Boston Rimmers 5-4 in a closely fought nine framer, while Murray Arms beat the Sir Robert Peel ‘B’ team 5-4.
Swiss Scientists and Unicorn also both made victorious returns, winning their respective games against Gloucester Arms and Swiss Guard 6-3.
The only results in Division Two saw Daniel Gooch beat the Gloucester Arms ‘B’ team 5-4, while the POW Wizards managed to edge out the Grafton Ladies 7-2.
