Town look set to avoid relegation
KENTISH Town Football Club looks set to avoid relegation from the Premier Division of the Spartan South Midlands League despite suffering back-to-back defeats this week. The semi-professional side, which is made up of some of the best players from across Camden and Islington, is currently second from bottom with a dreadful goal-difference of minus 45.
But despite a run of bad results, Town look to be safe after Berkhamsted Town were forced to drop out of the league because of financial reasons, meaning that only one club will now be relegated this season.
On Tuesday the team suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat in their tough away game against fellow strugglers Biggleswade United. The result compounded a torrid time for Town, who also slumped to a
2-0 defeat away against Biggleswade Town on Saturday.
