Reddot victorious again
Camden Sunday League
CHAMPIONS Reddot rounded off a winning campaign in Division One with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Constitution. Jason Medford opened the scoring before Paul ‘Trigger’ Reid doubled the advantage with a 20-yard screamer.
By the time defender Wesley Borghys added a third, it looked like Reddot were going to run riot. The Cons, however, continued to battle and pulled two goals back through Gary Miller, one coming via the penalty spot after he was brought down by Dots’ keeper Jimmy Russell.
Liam Barnabie scored what proved to be the Reddot winner with a well-placed header, before Dean Burke pulled another goal back for Constitution late on.
Phoenix came from a goal down to beat Brasenose as they continued their quest to seal a top three finish.
Wayne Moralee brought the scores level with his second goal in as many games when he headed home a Neil Bralee corner.
Man-of-the-match Jake King was then brought down in the box, allowing Bralee to fire Phoenix in front from the spot.
Leading scorer James Cole increased the advantage with his 24th goal of the season, before goalkeeper Barry Breen added the finishing touches to an impressive 4-1 victory when he scored a last minute penalty.
