Town win eases fears of the drop
Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division
Kentish Town 2, Aylesbury Vale 1
KENTISH Town eased their relegation fears and ended their losing streak on Monday with victory over Aylesbury Vale. Town, who are currently sitting second from bottom in the table, face three games a week in a bid to deal with a huge fixture backlog caused by the bad weather earlier this year.
They can now look forward to a slightly brighter future, however, after moving five points clear of relegation rivals Holmer Green.
With the added bonus of having three games in hand over the bottom-placed side, Town should now be safe from the drop after Berkhamsted Town were forced to withdraw from the league for financial reasons, meaning only one club will now be relegated this season.
