Left over?
• CHRIS Mullin’s political evolution from Bennite to Blairite is in the tradition of the labour movement. (Diary of a Blair regime nobody, April 2).
However he can be said to be a reflection of how politics has changed in the last few decades. In both Tribune at Christmas 1978 and New Socialist in 1984 he produced a cabinet of extreme left-wingers to form a fully socialist Labour government. Would it be possible to find enough of them in the larger Parliamentary Labour Party of today?
