Cracking time! Egg kids on roll at Easter
REVELLERS got into the Easter spirit with an egg-rolling event in Highgate on Easter Sunday.
More than 80 children and parents turned out for Lauderdale House’s annual Eggstravaganza, a morning of Easter activities including egg decorating, a treasure hunt and the famous egg-rolling contest.
Competitors lined up to try their hands at the highly skilful pastime, in which the egg rolled the furthest wins the game. There were five heats for all age ranges from under-fives to adults.
Creative types were also rewarded with prizes for the best decorated egg.
Jill Wignall, arts education officer at Lauderdale House, said it was her first time running the event and she was with delighted with how it turned out. She added: “It was a great day. “It was brilliant to see the kids and the parents working and playing together on Easter Sunday.” |
