MP Frank Dobson with teachers and pupils at Hawley Infants School |
Rough ride! MP quizzed over cab expenses
IT was the turn of infants to quiz politicians over expenses when Labour MP Frank Dobson visited a Camden Town primary school on Tuesday morning.
The MP for Holborn and St Pancras was at Hawley Infants to unveil a quilt made by parents and based on the favourite memories of schoolchildren, but he found himself fielding questions about travel arrangements from under-fives.
Asked by one pupil how he got around the country, Mr Dobson said: “I get the bus to the Houses of Parliament and sometimes I get a taxi if it’s raining or horrible. I don’t charge anyone for the taxi fares – I’ve only just discovered I’m entitled to do that. All this scandal and I’ve been missing out!” |
