Joining the dance: Joan Fowler and Dorothy Wise of the Castlehaven Community Association |
Rock on! Sponsor boost for pensioners
THE success of TV’s Strictly Come Dancing may have made it harder for some of the borough’s twinkle-toed pensioners to find somewhere to dance, but it was never going to stop them.
And this week, their passion for stepping out to classic rock ’n’ roll hits was given a boost when a local media company joined forces with Castlehaven Community Association to pay for their tea dance at the Kelly Street Congregational Church.
The partnership was dreamed up by Zenith Optimedia after the business, based in Percy Street, wanted to adopt a charity. |
