Storming away: Blitz vanquish Knights
LONDON Blitz American Football team continued their winning away run on Sunday with a resounding victory over the Farnham Knights.
The Finsbury Park-based club stormed into a 30-point lead in the first-half with running back Gareth Dauley scoring two touchdowns.
Wide receiver Michael Caper and Rod Bradley also both found the end zone, with full back Nathan Holt topping up the scoreboard with a series of successful kicks. Running back Nick Fray and wide receiver Ben Brown added to the massive points haul, supported by kicker Holt, who helped lead Blitz to a 44-6 victory.
After the game, London Blitz linebacker Jason Brisbane, who returned from his year in the NFL with San Diego Chargers, said: “It’s good to be back. It’s been a while since I’ve played a game, so it’s good to be able to work the rust off.”
