Wonderkids shine in park
WICKET wonders from Gospel Oak Primary School were bowled over on Wednesday when they won the Camden Schools Sports Association Cricket Championships at Regent’s Park. Talented cricketers from the Mansfield Road school were crowned champions after edging Primrose Hill in the final. The tournament rules meant sides had to field teams of five boys and five girls, who each had to bowl one four-ball over and take a turn fielding in every position. When it came to batting, teams started with a score of 200 runs, and players were deducted four points when dismissed.
The competition proved a huge success with 12 teams from schools across the borough taking part.
