Medals galore: Christ Church NW3 winners
Tennis stars shine in dream Regent’s Park tournament
SIX schools served up a dream day of tennis in the Camden Schools Sports Association’s primary mini- tennis red competition at Regent’s Park tennis centre. Schools were challenging for a place in the Central London mini-tennis red final at the London Tennis Association’s national centre in Roehampton later this month.
Booking their place in the prestigious competition were tennis starlets from Christ Church NW3, who stormed into the A final, edging New End by two points.
Carlton took third, with Christopher Hatton fourth, Rhyl fifth and Primrose Hill sixth.
Rhyl came out on top in the B competition, just beating New End into second, with Primrose Hill in third, Christopher Hatton fourth and Carlton fifth.
The competition was run with support from the Will to Win Tennis Programme and Gosling Tennis Academy staff. Paul Williams, competition manager in Camden, said: “It was a really great day with some excellent performances in both competitions.”
