Ace opportunity! Summer tennis camps for children
A BRIT may not have won Wimbledon for decades, but a series of intensive tennis workshops hope to set that record straight.
Four tennis camps are on offer during the summer holidays for future champions of the sport aged between five and 18.
The camps in Camden Street, next to Richard Cobden school, feature high quality tennis coaching from Gosling Sports Park and cost as little as £5.75 a day. The Town Hall’s culture chief, Councillor Flick Rea, said: “We are absolutely committed to making high quality and affordable sports activities accessible to everyone. “This is especially important for young people during school holidays. “These camps are a fantastic addition to other sports activities on offer in the borough – like free swimming for under 16s.” |

Your comments:
£5.75 is only with a concession card - for most people it is closer to £12 per day which is a lot over a week or two in the school holidays. All school kids should get the concession rate for something like this.
