Peace campaigner Megan strikes a blow with anti-violence mural in graffiti paint

MOVE over big bro, I’m in the paper as well!
A week after the New Journal featured champion archer Ben Humphrys on our back-page sports coverage, meet sister Megan who has been wowing Gospel Oak with her artistic skills.
Megan Humphrys, 10, won an MP3 player after designing a mural for a competition at the recent Queen’s Crescent Festival. Her message – illustrated with graffiti paint – struck such a chord with organisers they are going to hang the banner on fences near Queen’s Crescent Community Centre.
The Gospel Oak Primary School pupil said: “The idea is that we shouldn’t get into fights. We should stay away from them.”
Megan has already seen a collage of her artwork presented at Gospel Oak station. “I do like art but I also like animals, so when I’m older I will either do something with art or something with animals,” she said.
