Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 13 August 2009

Back mosque’s campaign

• HELD for the third year running, Sunday’s Islamic Mela was bigger and better than ever, with stalls filling the whole of Cromer Street.
Visiting the King’s Cross Mosque, which opened its doors for the day, I heard the committee is keen that the case is made strongly for funding to provide a covered area outside the mosque. Three hundred worshipers regularly attend Friday prayers here, but its main area can only accommodate 100 people, so many, including the elderly, are forced to pray outside. There must be a way for the council to raise the necessary funds without threatening other projects.
