Young at art set for competition
WANTED: Older people with a talent or interest in art, to take part in a joint competition held by Age Concern Camden and the British Museum.
Entries should be inspired by anything in the museum – from work in the permanent collections, current exhibitions, or even the building or visitors – and the deadline is September 25.
The judging panel will be made up of members of Age Concern Camden, the museum, and the Guardian newspaper, and the 12 winning entries will go on to feature in a calendar to raise money for the charity.
ACC chief executive Gary Jones said “Last year’s competition attracted over 60 entries and proved there are many talented older artists in the borough.”
