Right to buy

• IN David Simmons’s letter (Crisis due to Labour, September 10) concerning the reduction of council housing stock, the figure of 4,176 should in fact have read 3,927 to the year 2004/5.
The figure 4,176 related to the number of properties sold by the government under the right to buy scheme to 2006/7.
