All square in clash of the titans
Camden Sunday League
DIVISION One pace-setters Reddot and Phoenix battled out a hard-fought draw at Hackney Marshes in the weekend’s clash of the titans.
Champs Reddot drew first blood midway through the first-half when Jason Medford latched on to a great cross from Aaron Clarke to smash home.
Phoenix battled back to turn the table-topping clash around. First Anthony Clarke scored from the spot after Justin Howsego clattered Justin Pryce in the box.
Then Jamie King fired Phoenix ahead, guiding the ball past stand-in keeper Micky Dowsett.
The Dots pulled level when Liam Barnabie played a one-two with Paul Reid before hitting the top corner.
Both teams had chances to win the game, Anthony Clarke going closest for Phoenix with a rasping shot that came back off the post. |
