No charity gain without pain
HAIR stylists made a smooth move for charity on Saturday when they volunteered to have their chest and legs waxed to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.
Rush manager Peter Davies and colleague Hang Siu plucked up the courage to baldly go where they had never gone before by having all the hair removed from their legs.
A member of the public also popped in to show his support for the Pink Breakthrough in Breast Cancer Campaign by getting his chest waxed along with Rush’s hairstylist Keith Roberts.
Staff at the hair salon in Pentonville Road, King’s Cross, also baked cakes to sell on the day, while clients were given the chance to win a pair of GHD hair straighteners worth £120 in a raffle.
Having helped raise around £450 so far for the charity, Mr Davies joked: “I’m never having my legs shaved again, they’re really cold without hair. But it was my idea so I had to lead by example. The day went really well,” he added. |
