Mixed bag for Town
PLAYERS from Kentish Town Football Club had a mixed week in the Premier Division of the Spartan South Midlands League as they picked up a win, a draw and a defeat.
The Townies went into the weekend in confident mood after beating Kingsbury London Tigers 3-2 last Wednesday.
The players’ confidence, however, was soon shattered on Sunday when they slumped to a heavy defeat against Dunstable Town.
The scoreline was harsh on a depleted Town side, who went into the game missing 10 key players through injury.
Ossie Barkat also missed a penalty at a vital time in the match as Kentish Town went on to lose 6-0.
Town managed to bounce back on Tuesday when goals from Lindsay and Mariusz Serwin earned a 2-2 draw away at Hillingdon Borough. |
