Town fail to find their feet
KENTISH Town remain bottom of the table in the Premier Division of the Spartan South Midlands League after suffering a 5-1 defeat away at Oxhey Jets on Saturday.
The Townies produced one of their worst performances of the season so far as they found themselves 3-0 down at the break and trailing 5-0 with 10 minutes to go.
A late strike from Thomas Looney offered little comfort as the players were reminded of the 8-0 thrashing they suffered against Tring Athletic on the opening day of the season.
Manager Rakatahr Hudson said afterwards: “I haven’t been this disappointed since our first game against Tring. “The lads are young and we know that inconsistency is to be expected. We will bounce back. “I am still convinced we will improve,” he added. |
