Don’t blame the young, look at our leaders
• I FULLY agree with the borough’s senior police officer (Credit crunch crime warning, October 15).
Not only do we have thousands of people in Camden who have lost their jobs, and are now living on dole handouts whole families are left to get by on poverty benefits. We also have thousands of young people who are also desperate to find a job, or and work experience who are also struggling to get by. But I don’t believe that it’s just the recession that has raised the levels of crime in this country.
I believe that the British legal and political establishment itself is also responsible.
Our youth are not stupid. They are fully aware of the corrupt and dishonest practices that plague the British establishment itself,
When we hear that the police can not even investigate the crimes within the walls of the British legal, financial and political establishment, is it any wonder that we have a growing concern about the crime and disorder across the nation? Don’t we all learn by example?
