Beaming bright Nadia, Aisha and Helena shine at London championships
TRIUMPHANT trio Nadia Muccio, Aisha Goodman and Helena Roberts were still beaming this week after impressing judges at the London Gymnastics Federation Regional Novice Championships.
Representing Camden Gymnastics Club, Helena scooped a silver medal in the 12-year-olds age group, missing out on gold by just tenths of a point.
Team-mate Aisha put in an outstanding display to win gold on the beam, before going on to finish fifth overall in the 10-year-olds category.
Nadia also put in a strong showing as she tackled the bars, beam, floor and vault disciplines at Heathrow Gym Club, finishing fifth overall in the 11-year-olds age group.
Head coach at Camden Gym Club Karen Waldron said: “All the girls worked really hard and made us very proud.” |
