A vision of Hampstead without the clutter
HAMPSTEAD Village residents have a second chance tomorrow (Friday) to see radical plans produced by the new Hampstead 2020 group to transform the now traffic congested area around the Tube station.
The group’s proposals will be shown at Burgh House, New End Square, at 1pm tomorrow.
The 2020 campaign was launched by Red Frog residents group chairman Farokh Khorooshi after he was alarmed by the deteriorating appearance of the village. “We fail to see that the old village is submerging beneath a forest of ugly traffic signs, street furniture and A-boards that clutter the pavements,” he declares.
Hampstead 2020 shows a potential solution to the visual confusion and traffic congestion.
