Townies break their duck
KENTISH Town climbed off the bottom of the table on Saturday after recording their first win in 10 games with a 6-2 victory over Welwyn Garden City at Barnet Copthall Stadium.
Town boasted six different scorers as they secured three vital points in the Premier Division of the Spartan South Midlands League.
A fine individual goal from Jason Donlon was all that separated the sides at the break as Town overcame the harsh weather conditions to take a deserved lead.
Before the players made it into the changing rooms at half time, the visitors’ keeper was sent off after squirting water at one of Town’s substitutes and grabbing him by the collar.
The Townies took full advantage with Nick Antoniou, James Lindsay, Ossie Barkat, Thomas Looney and Joe O’Connor all scoring. |
