Working in partnership: Louise, Lucy and Ashley |
Ambassadors for 2012
BEACONS Louise Hayes and Ashley St Ange have been unveiled as Camden’s latest Sporting Ambassadors.
Together they will work within the Camden School Sport Partnership to promote sport and help encourage the borough’s future coaches, volunteers and medal winners.
Part of a nationwide programme celebrating London’s hosting of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in 2012, Louise and Ashley will help organise sports festivals and advise youngsters about the benefits of teamwork, fair play and eating healthily.
Louise, who goes to La Sainte Union in Highgate, knows a thing or two about competitive sport as she plays football for semi-pro side Queen’s Park Rangers.
Meanwhile Acland Burghley pupil Ashley is a big fan of basketball and table tennis.
They will work alongside David Morse and Sasha Kelly who were selected as the 2008/09 ambassadors, and Jay Kirton and Lucy Nicholas who were hand-picked as ambassadors the previous year. |
