Coaching accolade – Inspiring the women’s game
COACHES from Hampstead Football Club have won praise for their work within the women’s game.
London FA’s Natalie Huntley presented club chairwoman Diane Culligan with the Contribution to Female Football Award on Wednesday.
The club also received a special souvenir shirt signed by England women’s team.
With the help of Camden’s Girls’ development officer Kirsty Pealling, Hampstead have put together four teams in the Middlesex Counties League, with 70 girls playing within the club.
Natalie, women’s development officer for the capital, said: “If it wasn’t for Hampstead the opportunity for girls to play football wouldn’t be as good. The club is doing a tremendous job.” |
