Twins all set to make sweet music together
THREE sets of identical twins joined forces at Smithfield market on Monday to promote a major musical project.
Top composer Orlando Gough and the Dartington International Summer School are seeking accomplished twin musicians or singers trained in all styles.
Successful applicants will perform in the idyllic surroundings of the Dartington Estate in Devon in August.
Six sets of twins have already been signed up, including Kate and Helen Ashby, both soprano singers, Laura and Charlotte Carrivick, who play lap-style resonator and mandolin, and cellist Nicola Coker Gordon with her violinist sister Lauren.
Others trained in jazz and street dance and choral singing will also perform in Devon.
Twins wanted to take part in the project, either amateur or professional musicians, should call Becka Rickard on 01803 847081 or email b.rickard@dartingtonsummerschool.org.uk.
