Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 25 May 2007

Youth curfew?

I AM disabled and I, too, was attacked last week by two young boys in Islington in similar circumstances to the assault on a disabled man (Pupils attack disabled man, May 18).
I was attacked in Seven Sisters Road, Holloway, while waiting for my wife and son to come out of the bank. One boy grabbed me by the throat and pushed me down, hurting my hip.
I was taken to hospital where an X-ray showed my hip was badly bruised. I had to stay in hospital overnight.
The government should do something about our youths – perhaps by imposing a curfew. Parents should encourage children to go to the cinema and the theatre. At the same time they should impose some sort of discipline and teach them what is right and wrong.
A EVANGELOU
Sunnyside Road, N19
