Guide to my advice sessions
• I AM confused by L Trevelyan’s letter (Freedom of information could start in MP’s office, June 1). I take my duties as an MP very seriously.
I hold weekly advice sessions, which are open to all members of the local public, and which many attend.
Indeed, I started the session on June 1 at 4pm and did not leave the building until just before midnight.
For the record, the monthly pattern of the sessions is as follows:
First Friday of the month, 4-6 pm, Old Fire Station, 84 Mayton Street, N7 (appointments only, ring 7561 7488 to book);
Thursday of the next week, 10-noon, Mildmay Library, 21-23 Mildmay Park, N1 (walk-in);
Friday of the next week, 4-6 pm, Old Fire Station, 84 Mayton Street, N7 (walk-in);
Thursday of the next week, 10-noon, Caxton House, 129 St John’s Way, N19 (appointments only, ring 7561 7488 to book).
It would be absurd for an MP to try to hide information about the boundaries of his constituency or his advice sessions, as Mr Trevelyan suggests.
This has nothing to do with the Freedom of Information Act, more to do with common sense.
I do, however, accept that my website was slightly out of date, even though information about my advice sessions is available from a range of other sources.
The website has been updated, and can be visited at www.Jeremycorbyn.co.uk
