Minister salutes improving pupils
RESULTS in primary school tests are improving faster in Islington than the national rate. New figures show how 11-year-olds performed in key stage 2 tests. Nationally, results in English, maths and science improved by only one per cent, but in Islington the improvement was six times better in maths and science, and three times better in English.
Schools minister Lord Adonis, who lives in Holloway, said: “Congratulations to all pupils and teachers at primary schools in Islington. “The results show that Islington has seen some of the most improved results in the country.”
