March for peace

CAMPAIGNERS are to urge youths to shun knives and guns during a Peace Week next month.
The week, organised by Father Jim Kennedy, of Blessed Sacrament Church, in Copenhagen Street, King’s Cross, will include a Peace Walk from Islington Green to Highbury Fields. A series of discussions will feature parents directly affected by knife violence.
Father Jim, who is Roman Catholic Dean of Islington, said: “This is a real chance for people to support a call to put away knives and guns.” The week runs from September 9-16.
