Student 'prank' ends in 30ft plunge from roof

A STUDENT broke his leg and suffered head injuries after a 30ft fall during a party.
The 19-year-old had apparently tried to climb on to the roof of the house in Sussex Way, Holloway, but slipped off just after 3am on Thursday.

His four-storey fall was broken by the roof of a kitchen extension in the back garden.
Firefighter Steve Green of blue watch at Islington station said: “We had to carry him down two flights of stairs on a spinal board and into the ambulance where paramedics stabilised him. He was unconscious.”
The teenager was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
He is now understood to be recuperating at his parents’ house.
Mr Green said: “I think they were larking around and it was a prank that went wrong, but he could have easily lost his life by going through the roof.”
