Student attacked with gun in early hours
A STUDENT was pistol whipped as he fought off three robbers on Holloway Road on Saturday.
The 18-year-old had enjoyed a night out with friends at Chico’s nightclub in Archway and left just before 1am.
As he walked down Holloway Road, close to the Esso garage, a boy of around 14 approached him and demanded money.
The student refused and the boy then pulled out a flick knife and held it to his throat.
The victim pushed the knife away and the boy disappeared up Holloway Road.
He returned a few minutes later – this time with two friends, one of whom was armed with a handgun and wearing black gloves.
The gun-carrying youth, aged about 18, used the weapon to strike the student a number of times. After putting up a brave fight, he finally handed over a sovereign ring to the gang.
He was also slashed across the face with the flick-knife as he battled the trio.
They took £40 from the teenager before running off and leaving him with facial wounds, although he did not seek medical treatment.
