Stabbing shocks estate
A MAN was knifed in the back when a dispute between neighbours turned ugly on a Holloway estate. The 45-year-old victim was stabbed outside Hollins House estate in Tufnell Park Road at 11.30am on Monday.
He was taken to a north London hospital suffering from a wound to the back and a broken jaw. The man remains in hospital, where his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
A ground-floor flat, believed to belong to the victim, was sealed off by police investigating the stabbing.
A concerned resident, who asked not to be named, said: “It’s horrible to think this could happen in the middle of the day. I’m already too scared to walk around at night.”
Another resident expressed fears that the estate was becoming a no-go zone. She said: “Crime on the estate is getting noticeably worse and the police don’t seem to come round here a lot.”
Two teenage males arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm have been bailed to return to a police station.
