A LINE-UP of celebrities, including former Arsenal stars, actors and boxers, will take part in a cricket match to raise money for the maternity ward at Whittington Hospital in Archway. David English, whose Bunbury XI has raised more than £10 million for charity, said: “It will be a great match for a great cause.”
The Bunbury XI will feature Arsenal legend Alan Smith, as well as England cricketer Owais Shah and swimmer Mark Foster, a world-record holder. Their opponents, North Middlesex Cricket Club, will have Highbury favourites Ian Wright and Lee Dixon, Olympic rower James Cracknell and Ade Adepitan, former paralympian and a BBC presenter, in their line-up.
A funfair, bouncy castle and auction of sporting memorabilia are among other attractions.
The match is on Sunday, September 16, at North Middlesex’s Park Road ground in Crouch End. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children.
