Drawing power
TEXTBOOK doodlers can see what it’s like to have their own face on a stamp at a workshop led by artist and illustrator Paul Jackson. Inspired by The Queen’s portrait on British stamps, Mr Jackson will show children and accompanying adults how to create their own portraits for a unique stamp design.
Children can try drawing from memory and blindfolded or see what happens when they don’t take the pencil off the paper.
The Big Draw family workshop, arranged by British Postal Museum and Archive, will be staged at Exmouth Market Centre, in Exmouth Market, Finsbury, from 1-4pm on Tuesday.
The workshop is suitable for children aged six or over. This event is free but spaces are limited so book in advance on 020 7239 2570 or email info@postalheritage.org.uk.
